Weddings

Hotel of the Rockies Canmore is situated at the gateway to Banff National Park in a pristine environment surrounded by a 360-degree view of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. These breathtaking mountain views can be seen from every room in the hotel making this a perfect setting for your wedding or special event.

Our Nakiska Banquet room can graciously accommodate 120 people for both the ceremony an elegant wedding reception. Its 2000 sq ft houses a dance floor, podium and microphone. If your wedding is an intimate affair we have smaller rooms that can accommodate from 15 to 40 guests.

0ur grounds with their spectacular views featuring the grandeur of the Three Sisters Mountains, providing the perfect background for your wedding photos.

Our beautiful loft suites feature cathedral ceilings, a jetted tub and a separate stall shower. The suites are configured with a king bed in the mezzanine, and a convertible sofa in the lower level. These are great rooms for Newly Weds and for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready in. They have two floors, two complete bathrooms and lots of mirrors.
All of the hotel's 99 guest rooms and suites are extremely spacious and elegantly decorated. Guests can work out in the exercise room or relax in the large outdoor whirlpool, and then enjoy delicious Italian cuisine at Renzo's Ristorante.

Guest Rooms/Room Blocks

The Hotel of the Rockies would be pleased to confirm a block of rooms. Please note these discounted group rates are only applicable to a minimum block of 10 rooms or more per night. When you sign a contract for a block of our rooms, your nights are automatically removed from our inventory and we consider those rooms sold. In the event that the minimum is not met and the Hotel of The Rockies cannot resell these rooms, unused/unsold balance will be charged to the master account.

To assist in accurate forecasting we require final room requirements 40 days prior to arrival. For wedding blocks- all guests must reserve their room under the group block 40 days prior to arrival. Any rooms not reserved after that will automatically be released back to the hotel.

The group rate will then no longer be available to those guests who did not book within that time frame. The room block should be made through the Sales department and once the room block is made the reservations should be done through Front Desk. Make sure your guests reserve their room under the group block in order to receive the group rate.

Check-in and Check- out

Check-in time is 3:00 pm. Every effort is made to accommodate guests arriving before check-in time; however, rooms may not be immediately available. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. Requests to retain rooms beyond that hour should be directed to the Front Desk once the guest is registered. Should it be possible to extend a late checkout, a late departure charge may be applicable.

Group Activities

Golf: In addition to the Silver Tip Golf Course, the Canmore Golf Club is 10 minutes away; Stewart Creek is 15 minutes away, with numerous other courses within an hour's drive.
Skiing: Downhill skiing at Mount Norquay, Sunshine and Lake Louise. The Canmore Nordic Centre hosted the 1988 Olympic cross-country skiing events. Helicopter skiing is available.
Summer: Horseback riding, hiking, fly fishing, white water rafting, mountain biking.
Winter: Snow shoeing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, dog sledding, ice fishing, helicopter tours.
Shopping: World class shopping in Banff, just 20 minutes away.
